Carwash Raises Money for New High School Football Uniforms
The football players need the money because the school district does not pay for team uniforms.
Members of the football team washed vehicles Saturday as part of a fundraising effort for new varsity uniforms. The event took place at at the Arete Estates lot, on the corner of Heathercliff Road and Pacific Coast Highway.
The team must raise $11,000 to purchase uniforms, which are needed after five years of wear and tear for the old uniforms. The school district does not provide any money for the uniforms. Those wanting to support the effort can make a donation to The Shark Fund at www.thesharkfund.org, and specify "football" with the donation.
