UPDATE: Firefighters Knock Down Malibu Brush Fire

Some 200 firefighters and an aggressive air attack hold the flames as strong winds blew through the area.

Firefighters made quick work of a small fire that broke out Friday afternoon off Mulholland Highway west of Decker Canyon as strong Santa Ana winds blew through the area.

The fire was held to about one acre by 200 firefighters, two super scoopers and a helitanker north of Mulholland Highway west of Decker Canyon, not far of the Ventura County line, according to Batallion Chief John O’Brien of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

"It is being held really good with the existing resources we have on scene," O'Brien said, while crews fought the fire. "We have some erratic wind that is in the area."
