Hearing Set on Proposed Whole Foods

A public scoping meeting is set for May 22 at City Hall, where residents are invited to give input on what they believe should be included in the project's environmental impact report.

Malibu residents will have a chance to weigh in on what should be included in an environmental impact report (EIR) for a proposed Whole Foods later this month.

The proposed 24,549-square-foot market will be located on two vacant properties at Civic Center Way and Cross Creek Road, which is zoned for commercial use, according to city documents.

The project will also include four other buildings that will range from 3,015 to 4,183 square feet in size.

In an e-mail to Patch, Whole Foods confirmed it is coming to Malibu, but offered no other details as to a projected opening date.
