Protests Over Malibu Lagoon Project Set For This Weekend

A silent walk is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 27 at the Malibu Lagoon, according to Carol Moss, who plans to attend both events.

Attendees were asked to wear white, bring a sign and meet up at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Cross Creek Road.

A second protest is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, May 28 and is being organized by the Surfers Coalition at the same location, she said.

Before the protest gets underway a potluck barbecue is set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with speakers expected to talk about the project at 1 p.m., according to Moss.
