As i stated perhaps you should take a minute and call them and get clarification as yourRead Moreassumptions are clearly wrong.

I don't know what I am wrong about. I know now they don't pick up dead animals, focus is on living Read Moreones, which is completely understandable. So my previous "assumptions" are now clear. I don't need to go back and forth with you about this. I was clearly looking for a way to have this sea lion that was washing in and out for a few days picked up. We have plenty of kids and dogs running around on a daily basis and was hoping to get this sea lion away from them and thought WLC was best equipped to do so.

Wrong about assuming I am with the Wildlife center just because I responded to your post in theRead Morefi rst place and suggested what to do. Don't be so defensive if you are going to post something and expect comments.

The PCH traffic this morning was due to CalTrans replacing a small section of guard rail at WillRead MoreRog ers Beach, where the SB lanes of PCH go from 2 lanes to 3 lanes. The storm drain project starting on 4/15 will have 2 lanes open in both directions at all times. During the peak commute times, an additional lane will be opened – 3 SB in the AM, and 3 NB in the PM.

sounds like this was written by Patti herself.....
Linda Rivera April 21, 2014 at 06:46 PM
As a long time client of the Sandpiper, this is the absolute truth and I know Patti did not writeRead Moreth is herself! It is her incredible love and concern for the dogs that keeps her working these insane hours with no days off. I just had a conversation with her about this recently and was shocked when she told me. I don't understand how it's even legal to demand this from an employee.
Scooter April 21, 2014 at 09:12 PM
Ok. I understand now and thanks for the clarification. It just sounded like maybe she wrote itRead Morea s it seemed it was targeted against someone named Mike. I am an animal lover myself and do hope Patti the best!

Hi Jon, I saw this comment when you first posted and wanted to give it some thought. In a way,Read Moreyou'r e right. This election caught us in our transition stage. What Patch is today is not what Patch will be in the near future. At the same time, there's a lot of ways Patch readers can take advantage of the features here. We see videos posted on the boards, blogs about local issues. There's certainly been some pointed comments about various current elected officials in the comment threads. -----------------Patch still gets amazing readership, so I invite you to participate in the debate about what's best for Malibu's future. What's your take on this election?
Jon Davis April 06, 2014 at 06:44 PM
Hi Penny, I realize that all the Patch sites are in transition, and I understand that you areRead Morespread pretty thin. However, getting one's "news" from boards, blogs, etc. is like getting "fair and balanced" reporting from Fox News, or MSNBC for that matter. Substituting the din of the few with nothing better to do but posting made-up facts and innuendo on comment boards does not negate the need for objective reporting! Patch exists to make money, I get it! However, your reporters still have a duty to get out and report, in an unbiased way, what's going on in our communities! I have POV (Okay, agenda) that I will continue to promote. Patch's job is (or should be) to seek the truth, and show me where I'm right or wrong. I'm not afraid of changing my mind if the evidence supports a change of opinion. I would suggest that Patch have moderators on the comment boards. Not just someone who chastises "potty mouths" but someone who challenges comments from folks like me to back up their statements with facts! As for the election, well I'll just have to save that for another post!

The mysterious "Boom" sound heard and felt in Malibu today @ approx 1:00 PM was not anRead Moreear thquake - but rather "that thing" that CAUSES QUAKES. It shook me up and was felt as far south as Huntington Beach. Whatever it was released as much energy as several space shuttles on reentry. Hmm - maybe a change in the weather coming Lorelei? I like Hamish and Andy as people, and I know they truly love Malibu. Something I would like to see Read Morefrom Hamish are possible solutions in black and white. A specific place for a skatepark in the next 12 months. How much will the acquisition cost? how much for asphalt/concrete? how much for materials? Labor? timeframe? number of employees? are there going to be lights? how much is the upkeep/maintenance? To date all I have heard (and doesn't mean there isn't a plan or model, I just haven't HEARD it) is that the City counsel sucks, they're liars, "old malibu vs new Malibu" If Andy and Hamish do in fact have a plan, they need to post it on Facebook, instagram, or somewhere cheap as they don't have the $$$ the other candidates do.
