Topic #1. Trash along PCH

The Problem:  Garbage everywhere you look along PCH
Possible Solution:  Pick up Garbage, even if you didn't put it there to start.

In addition to 'Adopting a Highway' where your Business may or may not profit from your good-will gesture as a result of Adopting part of PCH, you can effect change by merely providing your employee's a receptacle outside your establishment.  Set the Bar from the Top.  "There will be no garbage in front of my Business." Whether it's a Restaurant or a Building Site. Likewise, Citizens that live on PCH can opt to pick up garbage from their own stretch of the Highway.

If you need incentive, refer to AB-341, a Bill introduced in 2012  that was meant to reduce waste.

I question this legislation's effectiveness.  It seems to me that the only entity benefiting from this new law is Waste Management.

Perhaps it's just not working in Malibu because we have a high Tourist Population?  What unique challenges do we face keeping Trash in a Receptacle and keeping Trash off
Pacific Coast Highway?

In my opinion, you don't need to create another Task Force to lower waste in your community.  It's something everyone should want, clean streets.   No garbage in the Ocean. No garbage in front of my House or in front of my place of Business.

PCH is a pathway through Malibu's Soul.  This Soul shouldn't look this dirty.

Do you have a solution to this resurfacing Problem?
