Church Construction Ahead of Schedule

Five years ago, the Malibu-based church was destroyed when a wildfire swept through the area.

Construction on a new sanctuary at Malibu Presbyterian Church is ahead of schedule for a January opening.

Workers are installing drywall and electrical wiring in the new sanctuary, according to an announcement posted on Malibu Patch.

Recently Malibu Presbyterian sent more than 75 people, including many Pepperdine and Malibu High students to build a church outside Tecate, Mexico.

Member Matt Deseno connected the beauty of the new sanctuaries in Malibu and Mexico: “I was incredibly touched by the joy of the people holding a service in their new sanctuary and I was filled with anticipation for the day when we get to experience the same.”
