Get Out: Weekend Planner

Participate in an egg hunt, enjoy an Easter service by the sea and celebrate Earth Day Topanga-style.

The weekend is here, and you have to do something. Here are some suggestions from Malibu Patch. 

  • Where/When: , 24250 PCH; Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • What: The annual event includes two egg hunts (one for children and one for adults), photos with the Easter Bunny and lots of activities. 
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: Payson Library, 24255 PCH; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • What: These are the final two days to see the exhibit of photos and other materials from contemporary Poland that show traces of the nation's once large and vibrant Jewish population.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: Topanga Community House Fair Grounds, 1440 North Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Topanga; Saturday from 10 a.m. to sunset
  • What: The annual Earth Day celebration is very Topanga, and includes music, speakers, workshops, activities for children and an art gallery.
  • Pricing: Suggested donation of $12

  • Where/When: Bluffs Park, 24250 PCH; Sunday at 11 a.m.
  • What: The holds its Easter service at beautiful Bluffs Park. Leave your car at HRL Laboratories, located at 3011 Malibu Canyon Road, and a shuttle will take you to the park.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: , 23200 PCH; Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
  • What: The Santa Monica Bay chapter of the Audubon Society hosts two wetlands bird-watching walks. The second one is geared toward families with young children.
  • Pricing: Free
