Malibu Pie Festival to Return in October

The best of Malibu's pie will compete for the top prize on Oct. 13 at Malibu United Methodist Church in Malibu.

Dozens of pie bakers will compete for a blue ribbon as part of the Malibu Pie Festival next month.

The festival, now in its 23rd year, is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the courtyard of Malibu United Methodist Church, 30128 Morning View Drive in Malibu.

The pies will be entered into multiple categories and will be judged by Malibu civic and business leaders, as well as celebrities, according to Tabitha DiLeo, a spokeswoman for the festival.
