The National Park Service wants to hear from you.
The agency has completed its public meetings regarding a plan to manage invasive plants and an Environmental Assessment for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Redwood National Park.
However, there is still time to submit your input.
Locals are invited to give their opinions about some of the preliminary alternatives that have been identified, and provide suggestions for how the National Park Service should manage invasive plants at local parks.
Anyone interested can provide comments by submitting them to the National Park Service’s website online.
More detailed information about the plans are also available on the website.
Submissions can also be mailed to: Redwood National Park, ATTN: Invasive Plant Management Plan, P.O. Box 7, Orick, CA, 95555, or to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, ATTN: Invasive Plant Management Plan, 401 West Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA, 91360.
All comments should be submitted by Tuesday, Oct. 1.
