Rain Falls on Malibu

Further south, nearly a half-inch of rain was detected.

Nearly a quarter-inch of rain fell on Malibu by Saturday afternoon, according to unofficial automated rain gauges.

Los Angeles County Department of Public Works sensors reported .20 inches of rain at Malibu Canyon and Big Rock Mesa in Malibu by 2:30 p.m.

Further south, the sensors detected .46 inches of rain at Manhattan Beach, .43 inches at El Segundo, .26 on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and .20 in Marina del Rey.

Other significant rain amounts included .31 near Sylmar.

Several stations in the San Gabriel Mountains reported .20 inches of rain or more.
