Safety Harbor Kids Seeks Donations for Toy Drive

"This will be the only present many of these kids will receive all year long," said Petrie Alexandra Williams, president of Safety Harbor Kids.

More than 200 toys are still needed for orphaned, homeless or foster children in the Malibu area and throughout Los Angeles County.

"This will be the only present many of these kids will receive all year long," said Petrie Alexandra Williams, president of Safety Harbor Kids, in an email detailing the toy drive. "We have 150 children attending and four weeks to accomplish our goals."

The group needs the toys to reach its goal of giving away 450 new gifts and stockings for the holidays.

The cost is $15 for a stocking, $35 for one gift and $50 for a gift and stocking, according to Williams.

A membership -- $50 for an individual and $100 for a family -- includes an invite to events, including the fifth annual Safety Harbor Kids Spirit of Goodwill Holiday party. The party is set for Sunday, Dec. 9 at Duke's in Malibu.
