Director Tom Shadyac to Discuss New Book in Malibu

The book, "Life's Operating Manual," seeks to answer two fundamental questions about the world, including a call to action.

Malibu Director Tom Shadyac will be on hand later this month for a discussion on his book "Life's Operating Manual" at Bank of Books.

The book discussion is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at Bank of Books on Heathercliff Road in Malibu, according to the bookstore's website


Shadyac, who lives in Paradise Cove in Malibu, is best known for his work "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective;" "The Nutty Professor;" "Liar, Liar;" "Patch Adams;" and "Bruce Almighty."

The book, "Life's Operating Manual," seeks to answer the questions: What’s wrong with the world, and what can we do about it?”

The book made the NY Times Best Seller List for the week of June 23 through July 7.
