    (MALIBU, CA) - World-renowned Johnny Cash tribute band, the Mighty Cash Cats, bring the celebrated music of  "The Man In Black" with June Carter to the famed Malibu Inn, 22969 Pacific Coast Highway, Friday, September 28. 9 p.m. $10. Info: (310) 456-1160 or www.themalibuinn.com. Established in 1920, the Malibu Inn was known as Malibu's chosen watering hole and host to Hollywood royalty, including Harold Lloyd and Gloria Swanson in 1951 Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Young owned the restaurant at one time and his musical influence transformed the Malibu Inn, combining its notoriety as a place for great food, with a live entertainment venue that featured some of music's most recognized performers including Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and Kid Rock.

     The Mighty Cash Cats have received rave reviews, touring extensively in the USA, Las Vegas, Ireland, Israel and Europe. Last month they were profiled on the hit German TV show RTL Punkt 12 on RTL, Germany's largest TV network and they recently shared the stage with American Music icons, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard.

     The Mighty Cash Cats cover Johnny Cash's career from his early hits that audiences all know and love to his final Rick Rubin-produced "American Recordings" including fun Johnny Cash and June Carter duets.

      In addition to their World-Renown Tribute Show to Johnny Cash plus June Carter, The Mighty Cash Cats present a Tribute within the Tribute to "To the Women of Country Music and Rock n Roll."

     A recent review of a Mighty Cash Cats show in national publication Music Connection Magazine stated: "Michael J Smith leads the performance playing a black acoustic guitar. It is impossible not to be drawn to the bass texture of his voice-and his physical and aural resemblance to Johnny Cash is practically eerie."
