Diesel, A Bookstore in Malibu welcomes award-winning travel writer Richard Grant to the store to discuss and sign his books on Saturday, December 10th at 4pm. Mr. Grant will be joined in conversation by acclaimed Malibu novelist Katie Arnoldi.

Richard Grant's most recent book, Crazy River, takes readers on an unforgettable journey from Zanzibar into the heart of Africa, traveling with present-day explorers, hunters, degenerates, gangsters, and local reporters, while documenting life, landscape, and the history of white exploration in East Africa. Boyle calls it "the best book about Africa since Paul Theroux's Dark Star Safari."

For several years, he lived a nomadic life in the American West, supporting himself by writing magazine stories, before choosing Tucson, Arizona, as a base from which to travel further. His previous books are God's Middle Finger, about the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico, and American Nomads.Katie Arnoldi is the author of three bestselling novels: Chemical Pink, The Wentworths, and Point Dume, set in Malibu.
