Author Joan Stern will share how to write Chinese poetry at a special book signing this month in Malibu.

The event is set for 2 p.m. March 16 at Bank of Books on Heathercliff Road at Pacific Coast Highway, according to organizers.

Stern will be signing copies of her book, which explores female writers who use the Chinese forms of senryu, kyoka and haiga.
