Local Bands to Headline Malibu Music Festival Concert

The "Malibu Locals Only" night will feature performances from Michael Stahler, Daniel Page, The Harsh Carpets, Karma Dealers and 27 Miles.

Five local bands will be at the center of a "Malibu Locals Only" concert at the Malibu Inn as part of week-long festival leading up to the Malibu Music Awards.

The concert, which costs $5, is set for Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. at the Malibu Inn.

"When all of the local bands get together at the Malibu Inn, you will hear the experiences of the locals through the sounds of the music as if it is telling stories of a dying culture," said Cameron "Hellwood" Wellwood of the Harsh Carpets.

Wellwood said the performance will feature some Malibu classic favorites.
