Malibu Arts Festival to Include Pet Booth

Sophie Kidian plans to provide a place for pooches to hydrate and take a rest at the Malibu Arts Festival this weekend in Malibu.

Sophie Kidian, a Malibu resident and animal and bird behaviorist, will host a “Pooch Party” and “Bark-a-Lounge” for all furry guests at the Malibu Arts Festival this weekend.

The 41st annual Arts Festival features unique artisans, including painters, sculptors, photographers, and showcases local businesses.

Kidian's pet booth will be located on the grassy area adjacent to the wine and beer tent.

Malibu veterinarians Dr. Dean Graulich and Dr. Dana DePerno will be sharing summertime precautions for the four-legged friends, such as heat-stroke prevention and rattlesnake bite treatment/prevention. 

There will be a place for pets to hydrate, play in a cooling pool, a fire hydrant and special grass, and bandanas for fashion.

The Malibu Arts Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 23555 Civic Center Way.
