Malibu Landlord Sues Over Use of Home in Reality Show

Owners of Big Rock Beach residence say the makers of 'Bethenny Ever After' showed home's interior without their consent.

NBCUniversal and Shed Media were hit with a lawsuit this week by the owners of a home on Malibu's Big Rock Beach over the use of the residence in the Bravo reality show Bethenny Ever After, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Eriq Gardner wrote in the article that the plaintiffs claim in the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, "such publication of the interior of the property was not a matter of public concern."

The property was leased to two individuals, who subsequently then subleased the place to producers in an alleged violation of the original lease agreement. NBC and Shed Media are stated to have demonstrated "reckless disregard" by failing to inquire about the true owner of the property and publicly publishing the interior of the home without consent.
