Salt Petal to Perform at Malibu Wines

Salt Petal, which blends Argentinian folk, Brazilian tropicalia, Cumbia and up tempo indie rock, will perform at Malibu Wines later this month.

The band, which formed in 2009, is the brainchild of singer Autumn Harrison and Argentinian guitarist Rodrigo Gonzalez.

The two met while working at a lumber yard and soon began experimenting musically, crafting songs in local cafes.

Performing alongside well-known artists including Lila Downs, Grimes, Hello Seahorse!, La Santa Cecilia, Dengue Fever, Pilar Diaz, members of Blondie and Jane’s Addiction.

In March, Salt Petal released their sophomore album titled “Sea Monster.”

The album is produced by indie mastermind Raymond Richards (Local Natives, Henry Clay People) and mastered by Mark Chalecki (Los Abandoned, Le Butcherettes).
