Malibu Woman’s Club Hosts Musical Stars

Malibu Woman's Club Host a series of love songs to promote education of the youth of Malibu to the outstanding fifth graders and high school seniors.

"Love Songs" rang out for Malibu Woman's Club members and guests recently at the Malibu home of Charlotte and Fred Ward.

Musical stars Deedee Hall and Clifton Hall, accompanied by Greg Chun, wove a universal story of the seasons of love.

Through a lyrical progression of songs, Deedee and Clifton sang solos and duets about meeting and falling in love as they played the Broadway leads in Miss Siagon.

At present, Clifton is on a national tour as "Fiyero" in Wicked, now in Costa Mesa. Since graduating from Stanford, Greg has played improv piano and composed music for games, advertising, and movies.

By the time the last notes were played, the audience was in tears at the beauty of the voices and the universal message of love. This evening was the first of nine varied fundraisers planned by Malibu Woman's Club to honor brilliant and generous graduating seniors and fifth grade essay winners with monitory awards.
