Malibu Market Update

The market continues to stay strong with an increase in the number of homes sold up 43% over same time last year comparing May 2011 to May 2012. The number of properties currently in Escrow is the same as this time last year but down by 4 homes from last month.

The number of new listings is down 24% from 63 last May to 48 last month. This is good news and has a significant impact on the Real Estate market in a number of ways including holding or in some cases rising prices. The average days on market is down 3% from same time last year but up significantly from last month.
