UPDATED: Small Brush Fire Ignites Near PCH in Malibu

No structures are threatened, according to the city.

County firefighters are at the scene of a spot fire at Pacific Coast Highway and Busch Drive, on the Heathercliff Road side of PCH, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The fire was first reported to dispatch at 3:14 p.m. Monday afternoon, according to Inspector Keith Mora of the county Fire Department. Firefighters arrived at 3:20 p.m. to contain the fire, which was less than an acre and in a spot where there was heavy brush, Mora said.

An emergency services alert from the city reported that the fire is now out, and there was no report of any structures being threatened. The city also warns residents to expect delays on PCH due to lane closures as the firefighters continue to monitor the area.
