Babakul Opens Malibu Store

Babakul, French for hippie, seeks to epitomize the bohemian lifestyle.

Babakul, a Los Angeles-based contemporary women’s line, will open this weekend in Malibu. 

The store, which has a location in Santa Monica, will open on Saturday, June 29 at the Malibu Country Mart. Babakul, French for hippie, seeks to epitomize the bohemian lifestyle.

This is a sort of homecoming for the brand, which was started by Malibu's Kym Gold and Sophie Wizmann.

The Malibu location will feature Babakul’s new summer collection, which is comprised of bright, colorful dresses with ornate embroidery, flowy tops, and comfortable shorts.

Celebrity fans include Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Miley Cyrus, Rachel Bilson, Bridget Moynahan and Kourtney Kardashian.
