Duke's Malibu Raises $10K to Benefit THERASURF, SURFAID, Other Charities

THERAsurf, SURFAID, Life Rolls On, Malibu Coast Surf Lifesaving Association, and the 19 Fallen Granite Mountain Hotshot Firefighters will each be given a portion of the funds.

Duke’s Malibu announced Friday its 17th annual Big Wednesday promotion raised more than $10,000 to benefit several charities.

THERAsurf, SURFAID, Life Rolls On, Malibu Coast Surf Lifesaving Association, and the 19 Fallen Granite Mountain Hotshot Firefighters will each be given a portion of the $10,000, according to the restaurant's spokesperson. 

Duke’s Big Wednesday events featured drink specials and raffle prizes of merchandise from Bill Wall Leather, Quiksilver, Becker, and Arnette to name a few.

Patrons purchased $1 tickets with all the funds going to local charities. In addition, Surf Junkie Jeff known for his daily surf reports for various radio stations across California emceed at each of the Big Wednesday events.
