Emergency Preparedness Network Seeks to Bring Together Malibu Business Community

The "Emergency Preparedness Network" targets Malibu's business community and will offer a special Community Emergency Response Team training class.

The Malibu Chamber of Commerce and Malibu's Emergency Services Department have joined forces to form a group that aims to promote emergency preparedness and improve disaster survival rates.

The "Emergency Preparedness Network" targets Malibu's business community and will offer a special Community Emergency Response Team training class, according to the chamber.

The class will cover basic survival information and skills required until professional responders are available to assist during emergencies.  

The first event is set for 4:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Duke's Malibu, 21150 E. Pacific Coast Highway.
