Interview Hints at Ellison's Vision for Japanese-Style Hotel in Malibu

A recent interview by Haute Living with Chef Nobu Matsuhisa provides some insight into what Larry Ellison has planned for a new hotel in Malibu.

Matsuhisa told Haute Living that he and the Oracle CEO are in talks about a Japanese concept hotel next to the Nobu Malibu property on Pacific Coast Highway.

"They say it’s going to start construction in September," Matsuhisa told the magazine. "He already has a design, but it won’t start being built until later this year."

Ellison owns nearby Casa Malibu, which he purchased in 2007 for $20 million.
