Point Dume Among Popular Film Locations

Point Dume in Malibu trails behind Griffith Park as the second busiest location in L.A. County.

Point Dume State Beach in Malibu has been named among the 10 most popular film locations in 2012, according to a recent survey.

A survey conducted for the Los Angeles Times by FilmL.A., Inc. found that Point Dume State Beach logged 163 production days, making it the second busiest location in L.A. County.

Griffith Park, the 6th Street Bridge near downtown Los Angeles, Dockweiler State Beach in Playa del Rey and Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades were also on the list, according to the survey.

The television shows that had the most production days over the past year include "Private Practice," "The Client List," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "Southland," the L.A. Times reported.

The movies with the most production time in Los Angeles County included "Bad Words," "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "Paranormal Activity 4," according to The Times.
