Dozens came out for a night of couture carnival fun as part of Fashion's Night Out at the Thursday.
Gill and Jill Bumby, anonymous New York performance artists, provided appraisals of attendees outfits, with a rating based on a scale from 1 to 10.
Elissa Bouganim of Malibu said her assessment, which likened her outfit to the character Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, "was very true."
Activities also included tarot card readings, henna tattoos, a caricature artist, a magician and face painting. Venice-based band Terraplane Sun kept things lively with a concert.
Fashion’s Night Out started in 2009 to celebrate fashion and boost the industry’s economy during the slow economy.
