Vintage Grocers is the vision of Eric Fuchser, who drew on his more than three decades of experience in the grocery business to develop a classic hometown, homegrown market to serve Malibu and the surrounding area with exceptional food and customer service.

“Vintage Grocers is the realization of my dream to create a one-of-a-kind grocery store for a one-of-a-kind community,” said Fuchser, Vintage Grocers market manager. “The community we will serve deserves the best, and that is exactly what you will find at Vintage Grocers. We will stock only the freshest produce and seafood, the finest wines and gourmet items and the very best meat, poultry and pork selections. “

The independent grocery store will supply shoppers’ everyday grocery needs at affordable prices, as well as provide a full selection of organic, all-natural, international, Kosher, GMO-free and gluten-free food and products. It also will feature environmentally friendly packaging and products throughout the store.

At Vintage Grocers, shoppers will find exceptional offerings from the store’s kitchen ready for their table. Piping hot brick-oven pizza, freshly prepared sushi featuring the highest quality seafood, heart-warming homemade soups, an expansive range of deli selections, a garden-fresh salad bar, a fresh-squeezed juice bar, a hot food bar, gourmet sandwiches and many more delicious dishes are available for take-home meals or to enjoy at Vintage Grocer’s front porch dining room.

“We share your passion for food, and we will be your partner in all your eating endeavors – from picking up something for tonight’s dinner to entertaining and holiday meals,” said Fuchser. “You can count on us to be your knowledgeable and friendly resource on food and drink.”

Vintage Grocers is committed to providing local and sustainable products. It will be the only grocery store where customers can get scoops of Beachy Cream ice cream. Created in Malibu by Ann Ryan and her daughter, Beth Stockwell, Beachy Cream is made in small batches with locally–sourced, sustainable and organic ingredients. Vintage Grocers also will feature other Malibu products, including Malibu Honey, which is produced from local bees in local hives, Malibu OLIVE Co. olive oil, Zuma Organic products, Soap the Earth and Malibu Family Wines.

Vintage Grocers will offer customers a special treat, Draft Kombucha, the freshest probiotic-rich beverage available. This fizzy beverage the ancient Chinese called the “Immortal Health Elixir” has been around for more than 2,000 years. Vintage Grocers is the first – and only grocery store – in the area to offer Draft Kombucha to its customers. To make shopping more convenient, customers will be able to set up “House Accounts,” which can be credit or debit accounts for charging their purchases.

“To us, food is about relationships, family events and occasions that bring us together,” said Fuchser. “We want to share our passion for food with you. Come visit us and see Vintage Grocers for yourself – a place where exceptional foods and relationships are deeply rooted.”
