Cold, Windy Weather To Last Through Tuesday

Wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph are expected along the Malibu Coast, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong Santa Ana winds are forecast for the Malibu area through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind advisory is in effect through 3 a.m. Tuesday, with gusts up to 45 mph expected in Malibu, the NWS reported.

Sustained northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph will last through late Monday, with the strongest winds in the canyons, forecasters warned.

"Gusty winds could topple trees and power lines and create hazardous driving conditions, especially for high profile vehicles," forecasters said in a statement.

Mondays high will likely reach 55 degrees with an overnight low of 44 degrees, according to the NWS. Temperatures will slowly creep up into the mid 60s by Friday.
