Malibu Easter Egg Hunt Glows in the Dark

The first of two egg hunts in Malibu will feature glow in the dark items for children between the ages of 11 and 17 at Bluffs Park.

Children and their families will have the pick of two Easter egg hunts in Malibu this week.

A free glow in the dark egg hunt is set for 6 p.m. Friday, March 29 at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, according to Kristin Riesgo, Malibu's recreation supervisor.

After sundown, pre-teens and teens between the ages of 11 and 17 will have the opportunity to find eggs on field containing prizes, candy and glow-in-the-dark items.

Malibu teen band Don't Yell 7 will perform on stage prior to the egg hunt.

A second event, the Easter Hoppening, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30 at Malibu Bluffs Park for children ages 1 through 10.

The event will also include bounce houses, which will cost $1, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, Baby's Burgers Food Truck, Stop, Guac & Roll Food Truck, Hui Hui shaved ice, crafts, cartoon demonstrations by Larry Scott and "eggstravagant" egg hunt prizes.

An egg hunt for adults over the age of 18 is scheduled for after the children's event.

Special prizes will include Pacific Park ride tickets, Malibu Hollywood Theater movie tickets, Guy Matthew Salon gift cards, Chevron gift cards, Duke's Malibu gift certificates, Subway sandwich coupons, Active merchandise, McDonald's coupons, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf gift cards, candy and toys.

Participants are asked to bring a basket.
