Santa Makes Annual Pt. Dume Visit

A jolly St. Nick brings candy canes and festive cheer to the Malibu neighborhood.

The residents of Malibu's most populated neighborhood—Point Dume—welcomed Santa Claus Saturday night for his annual sleigh ride. With the help of elves and firefighters from Los Angeles County Station No. 71, Santa rode his sleigh through the neighborhood, delivering candy canes and Christmas Eve cheer at various stops.

This annual tradition began in 1958. It was made possible this year through the generosity of the Kotler, Rondell, Higginbotham and Smith families.
