VIDEO: Santa's Reindeer Spread Christmas Cheer in Malibu
People from across the Southland came to Malibu Saturday for a glimpse of two live reindeer at the Malibu Country Mart.
With wonder in her eyes, Riley held out her hand to the reindeer Saturday at the Malibu Country Mart.
"She wanted to see the tree and the reindeer," the 22-month-old girl's mother, who drove over to Malibu from Topanga, said. "She talks about the reindeer all the time. She keeps wanting them to nibble her fingers."
Before heading off to travel the world, Santa and two of his reindeer visited the Malibu County Mart. Children lined up to share their Christmas wishes, while others gathered around to take photos of the reindeer.

Marcia Avnet of Bel Air said she especially drove to Malibu to see the reindeer.
"It's like the night before Christmas story. I'm trying to decide if this one is Blitzen or Donner," Avnet said, gushing that this is the first time she has seen a reindeer up close.

According to tradition, Santa uses a team of flying reindeer to pull his sleigh and deliver Christmas gifts.
