Author Drew Daywalt reads and signs The Day the Crayons Quit at Bank of Books Malibu

Meet author Drew Daywalt as he reads and signs his  New York Times best-selling children's book The Day the Crayons Quit at Bank of Books' Saturday Storytime!

Daywalt's hilarious book tells the story of Duncan, who opens his box of crayons one day to find...letters. Letters from his crayons, all saying the same thing: I quit! Beige Crayons is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown Crayon, Black Crayon wants to be used for more than just outlining, Blue Crayon wants a break from coloring all those bodies of water. And Yellow Crayon and Orange Crayon are no longer speaking - each insists he is the true color of the sun! What is poor Duncan to do?

It's no wonder that The Day the Crayons Quit shot to the top of the New York Times best-seller list and remained there for weeks on end: what's remarkable is that this is Daywalt's first book. And stranger still is the Oak Park author's day job: writing and directing horror films!

Don't miss this chance to pick up a copy of the perfect holiday gift for all the children on your list!
