Green Memorial Lecture & Discussion Series: "Connecting the Past to the Present"

Larry Jones leads this second in a series of lectures and discussions of local Malibu history and world current events.  Attendees will hear about early Malibu history up to the 1930's, with a focus on land ownership, court battles over roads, and development of the Pacific Coast Hwy.  

The second part of the evening's program looks at some famous paintings in American history and the stories behind them.  Mr. Jones will also speak about the relevance of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi of Burman in today's world and in our own lives.  

Malibu United Methodist Church hosts the evening on Wednesday, September 25th, 6:45 - 8:45 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served at a reception preceding the program.  30128 Morning View Drive, Malibu, CA.
