Malibu - An Evening with Marianne Williamson

Diesel, A Bookstore in Malibu invites guests to spend an enchanting evening with author Marianne Williamson, who will discuss and sign her new book, The Law of Divine Compensation: On Work, Money, and Miracles, as well as favorites such as A Return to Love, on Thursday, October 3rd at 7pm.

Marianne Williamson is a spiritual teacher who, for the last thirty-five years, has taught principles from a set of books called A Course in Miracles. The Course is not a religion; it has no dogma or doctrine. At its core, it is simply a relinquishment of fear and an acceptance of love. Williamson's book, A Return to Love, was based on what she learned from the Course. Now, in her new book, The Law of Divine Compensation, she
returns to those principles as she addresses the two most stressful
aspects of our lives: work and money. This is neither a get-rich-quick
book, nor a guide on how to invest. Instead, it is "a guide to spiritual
principles that will pave the way to material abundance."

According to Time magazine, "Yoga, the Cabala and Marianne Williamson
have been taken up by those seeking a relationship with God that is not
strictly tethered to Christianity." Among her ten published books, four
of them, including A Return to Love, were #1 New York Times
bestsellers. She has founded Project Angel Food, a meals program that
serves homebound people with AIDS in the L.A. area, and the Department
of Peace Campaign, which aims to establish a U.S. Department of Peace.
