Meet author Dan Fante as he discusses and signs Point Doom at Bank of Books Malibu

Dan Fante's gritty new novel Point Doom introduces the reader to J. D. Fiorella, a failed PI reduced to living in his mother's house on Point Dume, newly-sober and feeling lucky just  to find a job selling used cars. But just as things seem to be looking up, Fiorella is drawn into a gruesome murder case. And this time, there's no easy way out.

Author Dan Fante, whom fellow novelist Jerry Stahl calls "a writer who's lived what he writes and writes what he's lived," is Malibu's version of literary royalty. The son of the acclaimed novelist and screenwriter John Fante (Ask the Dust),  Dan knows the neighborhood well- he grew up on Point Dume in the house where his mother still lives. His other novels include 86'd and Spitting Off Tall Buildings.
