Non-Fiction Book Discussion of Lean In at Bank of Books Malibu

Join us for our inaugural Non-Fiction Discussion Group at Bank of Books Malibu as we discuss Sheryl Sandberg's controversial book Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.

For the past thirty years more women than men have earned college degrees, yet women remain underrepresented in the top echelon of business and government. In Lean In,  Sandberg, the COO of Facebook and one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World, attempts to find and address the the root causes of this disparity. Some have accused Sandberg of "blaming the victim": some find her solutions to be unachievable for those who don't have a multi-million dollar salary and household help. But most acknowledge that Sandberg has initiated an important discussion about combining positions of leadership with a sustainable work/life balance.

While the ideas in Lean In will provide the jumping-off point for our discussion, you don't need to have read the book to join us.
