"Veterans' Voices": Listening To Their Stories

Malibu United Methodist Church welcomes a panel of veterans who will be sharing their stories and personal video journals, with a Q & A to follow.  The first in a quarterly series, this Veterans' Voices features Richard Rubenstein, M.D., who was a captain in the U. S. Army and served as a physician during the Tet Offensive, a particularly volatile period in the Viet Nam conflict.  Dr. Rubenstein treated both American servicemen as well as the local South Vietnamese population.  After his tour of duty in Viet Nam, he completed his military obligation at Letterman Hospital, The Presidio, in San Francisco.

Also speaking will be Lisa Kamen, M.A., a Spiritual Psychologist, and founder of Harvesting Happiness for Heroes (http://harvestinghappinesss.com), which offers support services to returning military personnel.

Sunday, September 22nd, 4 - 6 p.m., at 30128 Morning View Drive, Malibu, CA  90265.  Light refreshments will be served.  Info: 310-457-7505; www.malibuumc.org.
