BANK OF BOOKS hosts Hot Rodding in Ventura County (Book) this weekend!

This looks awesome... and I'm goin.'

Bank of Books Malibu will host a signing of author Tony Bakers love letter to the postwar car culture, Images of America: Hot Rodding in Ventura County this Saturday, January 18 at 12 noon, Several drivers featured in the book will also be in attendance at the event at the Point Dume Village to show off their custom-built hot rods.

Images of America: Hot Rodding in Ventura County is chock-full of archival photos of those early cars and the drivers who built them, babied them, and then (sometimes) ran them into the ground racing members of a rival club. For some, the book will be a trip down memory lane: for others, a fascinating detour down a back road of local history.

Author Tony Baker has been an amateur historian for over thirty years. He works as a technician in research and development at a high-tech Central Coast manufacturing firm.
