Blog: Malibu Courthouse Vault Grand Opening Features Unique Items

Fireball recommends the GIFT of GIVING...

Kathie (Bride of Fireball) and I were invited Saturday night to this awesome event at THE OLD MALIBU COURTHOUSE by new owners Kim Devane Abbott and Larry Abbott for a celebration of the new COURTHOUSE VAULT opening.

It was a blast of a time and was accelerated as more than 200 guests arrived to see the fantastic items in the new store, great Jazz, an open courthouse perusal, tremendous photographic art and classic shots of Malibu, PLUS, the great food of La Costa Mission Restaurant, featuring the fantastic food of Chef Gino (who by the way, has cooked faire at the White House.)

We grabbed our neighbor Yvonne and headed in for a night of lights and sights to not only celebrate Kim and Larry's new store, but the tremendous people they brought in to make the evening a success. And if you know these guys, success is their number one priority in all things.

Yesterday (Sunday) I saw them again at the theater to see SKYFALL, which again btw, was awesome. Jimmy does it again.

Giving to the community is always prosperous and what comes back is just the same. More growth, expansion and love. Be sure to swing by their new store and check out the beautiful jewelry, numismatic items and great art.

And if you're lucky, there might be some chocolate gold coins left over from the party... unless I get there first. ;-)

Fireball Tim-- Thank you for this and your kind words. It was a really fun party and we TRULY appreciate that so many of our friends and neighbors showed up to support the opening of Larry's new store The Courthouse Vault. It was so cool to celebrate these cool historic buildings and see them full & everyone enjoying themselves and having a good time. In particular, I wanted to thank Tommy, Heidi, Chef Geno Bahena and Gustavo of La Costa Mission Restaurant & Bar for the superb food and service ( we are sooo lucky to have such a magnificent new gourmet Mexico City style restaurant in Malibu), Grammy nominated Sunnie Paxson and her incomparable jazz band, Jim Palmer & Malibu Beach Wines, Karma Tequila -- Ron & Devin Semler, the coolest Bill Hirsh of Cielo Wines. What a fun night-- we cant wait to do it again. Please keep La Costa on your local list of great spots to dine out! Peace Love Happiness kim & larry
