Great shots today of Tivoli Cove in the 70's, the Tunnel on the 50's, a Sea Lion and Tonga Lei Menus and some details of the Tonga Lei itself.
Tonga Lei was a restaurant and motel on PCH in the '60s and into the '70s, when it became Don the Beachcomber and then the Malibu Beach Inn Hotel, which it is now. Imagine if the hotel looked something like that! I'd stay there and I live here!
Malibu history is so diverse that you never know what you'll find.
Question? What was the Cross Creek Shopping Center originally? Hint: The kid's sandpit used to be a pool.
