Michael Jason Williams PHOTOGRAPHY is the perfect Xmas Gift...

Good photography is about perception. It’s someone who can see uniquely and to convey those visions for their clients. Anyone can pick up a camera nowadays and shoot a nice shot, especially with camera phone filters, but not everyone can really see "inside" to the depths of nature.

But local Michael Jason Williams can...

When I saw Michael's work, I was struck by his composition and subtle colored hues. He could see what seemed extraordinary and transform it into something purely spiritual. It's about conveying a feeling of PEACE and that's what we all need more of in our homes or offices.

Michael has just released his Signature Collection of Limited Edition Photographs. A collection of his best work, including the acclaimed "Divine Grace" which was accepted by the University of Southern California Medical Center Arts Council to be included in their CARES collection, who's goal is "Enhancing Healing through the Arts."

This 30"x45" print, along with a series of landscape images projected onto a 40 foot high wall, will be shown starting in January to continue a concept started by Florence Nightingale in the late 1800's. She believed that pleasing images have the ability to assist people to better deal with their pain.  "Divine Grace" can also be seen January 8-26 at the Topanga Canyon Gallery Juried Show.

"Landscape photography has been a passion of mine since my dad showed me how to use his black and white film camera in the High Sierras as a kid." says Michael. "Those early life impressions, shooting the John Muir Trail, Rainbow Falls, and the Mammoth Lakes, still stick with me when I'm on the trail, and help me to recognize 'the moment' when nature is asking to be captured in a photo.

If I can bring the energy and feeling back from a beautiful spot, and give it to you, then I have done my job. It is my hope that through beautiful images, people will feel inspired by nature and recognize that we need to do everything we possibly can to preserve the Earth's natural state."

Well I for one, am inspired. Check out Michael's work on Facebook, Google+ and of course his site here.
