Malibu Adoptions Can Save These Lives

Huckleberry
You won't see many dogs like Huckleberry in the shelter.  Or on the street.  Or at your friends' homes.  He is absolutely unique.  That dappled-gray coat is dreamy.  Those ice-blue eyes startling.  He's subtle yet bold in appearance.  There are hints of any numbers of breeds mixed in there.  And the result is a great package.  Beyond Huckleberry's good looks is his winning personality.  He's super sweet and so playful.  You'd never know his secret.  Or secrets.  You see, Huckleberry is deaf.  And, partially blind.  Added to that is a rear leg that got twisted around, making him a candidate for surgery.  Ugh, poor, dear Huckleberry!  But, he can navigate with the best of them, roaming the play yard, greeting other dogs with the abundant joy of a puppy.  Huckleberry is two years old and a great size at 45 pounds.  He is a special needs fella which wants to make your life special.  Just adopt him and you'll see.  Huckleberry's ID Adoption # is A1422427.

Salt & Queeny
Scrumptious sweethearts.  Luscious lovebirds.  Delightful duo.  Terrific twosome.  Salt and Queeny will make you drag out that ol' dictionary in your search for the best description possible.  This pair of perfect pooches started their shelter life sharing the small cubby at the back of their kennel.  They refused to set foot (or paw) into the front, didn't want to be visible to strangers.  But, after taking them out only one time, their attitudes changed completely.  They love attention now, relish relaxing in the sun in one of the play yards.  Salt is the old salt, shall we say, of the pair.  He's magnificent, regal, charming.  Queeny is his shadow.  Where he walks, she follows.  She will entwine her body around his, scooping underneath him, fitting herself into the smallest space, between him and any wall or surface. They are bonded beyond belief.  Salt is a somewhat chunky 88 pound, 11 year old, already neutered, totally huggable hunk.  He's calm, poised, accepts any affection you can give him.  And who could resist running their fingers through his fabulous coat?  Queeny is more than willing to have Salt take the lead.  She's shy initially, preferring to let her BFF do the talking.  But, she's angelic and wants so to trust her two-legged friends.  Scratch her behind the ears and she's yours.  Queeny is 7 years old, 46 pounds, and already spayed.  These two, a match made in heaven, are waiting for someone to bring them home, someone who wants to add by two's and not just one's to their family.  Salt's Adoption ID # is A0527917 and Queeny's is A0809980.
