HOW(S) Soon Is Now?

So when’s the new grocery store arriving at PCH and Trancas? I’m getting tired of seeing what was once HOWS Market, standing now as a faceless façade beside a surf shop with little more than a dry cleaners and Starbucks to its adjacent.

As of September and October 2012, both the Pepperdine Graphic and Malibu Times said Erewhon was coming to the space. Yeah, and…?

I mean, come on! Move in the lettuce, kale, organic beef, lactose-free dairy, etc., and let’s be done with it! The line at Pavilions on Heathercliff is longer than ever, LOL!

Plus, there’s two nearby recharging stations for the Fisker Karmas that fly up and down the highway with such electric stealth and speed. You’d think someone with $100,000 to spend on a battery car would like juicing up while inside buying free-range this and hormone-free that.

All right, so I’m kvetching. What it comes down to is I miss those Saturday afternoon tri-tip sandwiches HOWS barbecued in the parking lot, a memory which at the moment has me flat-out hungry.

Oh, and I apologize for the gross misuse of the song title “How Soon Is Now,” as the title of this blog. I hope Morrissey and Johnny of The Smiths understand.
