Impala Eludes Hungry Cheetahs By Jumping Into Car:  A frightened impala, separated from its herd and trying desperately to elude two hungry cheetahs, saved itself in South Africa’s Kruger National Park by jumping through a window into a parked Toyota Prado SUV full of tourists.  Wow, now that’s what I call a “window of opportunity.”  Personally, I would have jumped into a Ford Escape, but that’s just me.   

Hubble Spots Blue Planet:  Astronomers say they have spotted a giant blue planet orbiting a star 63 light-years away that has daytime temperatures of over 2,000 degrees.  For those of you who think 2300 degrees is insanely hot, NASA says nighttime temperatures do appear to be a bit cooler.

Many Texans Going Hungry:  A new poll has found that as many as 20% of Texans are really struggling to be able to afford food.  In an effort to relieve suffering, state officials are urging hungry residents to avoid watching networks such as “The Food Channel.”

Study Determines Average Penis Size:  A new survey of 1,661 men found that the average size of an American man's penis is 5.6 inches (14.2 centimeters) long when erect.  The study also pointed out that just because someone acts like a big dick doesn’t necessarily mean they have a large penis.  Either way, its sad when you miss the cut by only a few inches.

Zimbabwe Women Fined for Screaming During Childbirth:  Its being reported that a hospital in Zimbabwe is fining women who scream or moan during childbirth and if the women can’t pay the fines, they are detained at the hospital and charged interest.  Women fined for screaming and moaning?  All I can say is, its a good thing they don’t hold women’s professional tennis matches in Zimbabwe.

Gap Closing Some US Stores:  The clothing retail chain Gap Inc. announced that they would be closing 189 of their North American locations by 2013.  Leasing agents are hopeful another retail chain will step up and fill in the Gap.

Toddler Buys Car on e-Bay:  A 14-month old toddler was playing with her father’s smartphone, opened the eBay app and ended up buying a 1962 Austin Healey.  The parents hope to recoup their losses by putting the toddler up for sale on eBay.

Computer Mouse Inventor Engelbart Dies:  The decorated visionary behind the “computer mouse,” Douglas C. Engelbart, has passed away at the age of 88 of kidney failure.  Friends say he tried jobs other than engineering, but nothing else seemed to click.  Ironically the guy who invented the computer mouse, is survived by his cat.
