Malibu Boys and Girls Club to Remember Tyler Robinson

Friends and members of the Malibu Boys and Girls Club community will gather to remember the son of the club's former director, who died earlier this week.

A special memorial for the son of the former director of the Malibu Boys and Girls Club is scheduled for Friday in Malibu.

The gathering, which is one day before the formal memorial service in the Palm Springs area, is set for 6 to 9 p.m. at the Malibu Boys and Girls Club, 30215 Morning View Drive, according to organizers.

Attendees are asked to bring photos or keepsakes for a scrapbook, which will be put together for the Robinson family.

Tyler's father, Scott Robinson, helped open the Boys and Girls Club in Malibu in 2000 and left to run the Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City in 2005.

A formal memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Forest Lawn Mortuary at 69885 Ramon Road in Cathedral City, which is near Palm Springs, according to the Robinson family.
