A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday at Malibu Presbyterian Church in Malibu for 25-year-old Jay Ogawa, who was killed in a rollover crash.
The service, which is open to the public and will feature readings and music by close friends, is set for noon Saturday, Feb. 2, according to the Facebook Page "In honor of Jay Ogawa: Rest in Peace."
The venue is limited to 250 guests. An informal memorial was held last week.
Ogawa, who was a graduate of Malibu High School, was killed last week in a crash near Bakersfield.
His family wrote on a private Facebook page: "We cannot give enough thanks and appreciation for the love that his friends have given to our JJ. The overwhelming turnout at his memorial, the emails, phone calls, Facebook posts, letters, food, Natty Ice, candle-light vigils, tears and laughter have made it clear how much JJ meant to his friends whether they knew him for a month, year, or decade."
