Ogawa, who was a graduate of Malibu High School, was killed last week in a crash near Bakersfield.

His family wrote on a private Facebook page: "We cannot give enough thanks and appreciation for the love that his friends have given to our JJ. The overwhelming turnout at his memorial, the emails, phone calls, Facebook posts, letters, food, Natty Ice, candle-light vigils, tears and laughter have made it clear how much JJ meant to his friends whether they knew him for a month, year, or decade."
