Henri
What a teddy bear. So huggable, soft and round. Henri is quite unique as teddy bears go. He's got a lovely orange coat with white paws and highlights. What everyone notices, though, is his tiny little tail. Not sure what happened down the line but there's about a four-inch stub that wags without delay when you approach. Such an easy guy to be with.
No demands, no issues. Henri doesn't care about the other dogs who bark at him as we pass by. He's the definition of mellow at 3 years old and 56 pounds. Henri came to our mobile pet adoption last weekend in Studio City. He was absolutely perfect, greeting everyone with his great big smile. And, as he was not adopted that afternoon, he went to the Best Friends facility in Mission Hills where he is now waiting for his new home.
His former Adoption ID # was A1374678 but that wil have been changed. So, if you are interested in Henri, please let me know.
Freddy
Freddy is a German Shepherd. We humans all know that German Shepherds do not fare well in kennels and Freddy totally agrees with that statement.
While he may spin and bark in his cage, it's just his pent-up energy, the mark of an intelligent dog who is seeking a job and some responsibility. Freddy is impatient and wants to prove to you what an absolutely amazing boy he is.
Once out of those concrete walls and metal bars, he's totally transformed. Freddy knows his commands, sitting before his leash is put on, waiting to take a treat. He's got a gentleness about him that is apparent the moment he is out of the kennel.
He's great on a leash, walks proudly by your side and, once in the training yard, will run and fetch whatever you choose to throw for him. That wagging tail gives everyone a good indication that this is a big puppy, happy and carefree when given a chance.
Freddy came into the shelter when he was just a year and a half old and 66 pounds. He's a handsome dog, gets along with kennel mates, and has so much going for him. He's waiting for just the right people to realize what fun he can be.
Freddy's Adoption ID # is A1229661.
